An intense and floral nebbiolo with aromas of violets, blood oranges and licorice. A crunchy wine that’s ready to drink but will develop more complexity with bottle aging.

De wijngaarden van Francesco Carbone liggen in het hart van de Roerostreek, rond het plaatsje Canale. De wijnstreek met de zanderige en kalkrijke ondergrond is vooral bekend geworden door de uitstekende witte roero van de arneisdruif en de rode roero van de nebbiolodruif. Die laatste geeft in deze streek een meer toegankelijke en rondere wijn dan de Barolo, de beroemde wijnstreek die tegen de Roero aan ligt. Francesco maakt de Regret van nebbiolodruiven die tijdens de gisting relatief kort meegisten. Na de ongeveer zes maanden eikenhoutrijping is de wijn ook in het eerste jaar na botteling al toegankelijk van smaak. Uiteraard heeft de wijn de kenmerkende nebbiolo-tannine en komt daarom het best tot zijn recht bij verschillende gerechten.

Proefnotitie

Helderrode kleur, typisch voor nebbiolo, evenals het kruidige aroma met nuances van specerijen, kersen en licht eiken. De smaak zet soepel en elegant in en eindigt met de voor nebbiolo kenmerkende tannine.

Drinken bij

Uitstekend te combineren met vele antipasti en pasta bolognese.

Houdbaarheid

Op dronk vanaf twee jaar na de oogst, gemakkelijk vijf jaar houdbaar.
