L’Exclus is een bijzondere rode wijn in het portfolio van de getalenteerde vigneron Denis Alary. Het betreft namelijk een originele wijn van 100% counoise - de pinot noir van het zuiden.

Bovendien is het fruit afkomstig van een wijngaard waarvan de ene helft in aanmerking komt voor de prestigieuze cru-status cairanne en de andere helft slechts voor landwijn. Dat onderscheid vindt Denis belachelijk.

Wijnmaker Denis AlaryVolgens hem is de hele wijngaard van cru-niveau en hij noemt de wijn dan ook L’Exclus, de buitengeslotene. We snappen zijn punt, want dit is wijn van hoge kwaliteit!

Sinds de eerste oogst is deze cuvée zeer beperkt beschikbaar, dus een echte ‘vin de garage’. De druiven gisten en rijpen net als de cairanne in grote houten cuves (demi-muids van 600 liter). Hierdoor is de houtinvloed mooi gedoseerd. Uniek en onderscheidend!

Proefnotitie

Helderrood van kleur, kruidig van geur met frisse fruittonen en wat leer. De smaak zet soepel en zacht in; de afdronk is rond en geurig met een aangename kruidigheid.

Drinken bij

Bijzondere rhône, geschikt bij koude vleeswaren of licht gekruide gerechten.

Houdbaarheid

Op dronk vanaf twee jaar na de oogst, goed houdbaar tot vier jaar na de oogst.
